If you cut him then you can't sign to 12. You need to trade him or trade someone else HARD CAP WAIVER SYSTEM - If a team accidentally goes over the Hard Cap in free agency, they'll have to use the option of waiving any of the players that they signed that day. - Teams may submit waiver offers to the commissioner via a Direct Message, with bids starting as low as $5 and increasing in $5 increments. - If the waiver offers end in a tie, the teams will be asked to submit a new final offer that must be higher than the original offer they submitted, or forfeit their bid. - The winning team will assume the original contract that was signed in FA (This team must have the cap space to absorb the contract). The only exceptions: 1) if the bidding team has Bird Rights on the player and adding the contract would not put them over the hard cap. 2) If the waived player is a MLE or LLE player, and the bidding team has not used the exception yet. 3) If the waived player is a minimum contract, then any team with space under the hard cap can bid. - In the event that no claim is made on the player, the team over the hard cap will have the option of waiving a different player that was signed that day. - If all players have been waived and go unclaimed, the commissioner will decide which player goes back to free agency and the team is subject to a fine/loss of draft pick. TWolves/Grizzlies you are free to PM me your offers

He's not over the hardcap yes he is No he's not, he has to get under on his own. And if you want to run the waiver rules he can't cut Snell unless Solo is willing to pay $5 as he's the only one with cap space. He'd have to cut a min guy so anyone can bet on him

He can't then since none signed today I guess he actually went over the hard cap because of lack of calculation: Solo has to either take one of his guys, he tries to get under himself, or you freecut with a penalty.

He really fucked himself here in all honesty since those were calculated re-signs, that rule is really when someone goes over with mins as usually the case or the rare rare case that you re-sign a big contract, and right before you re-sign him you got a huge contract too. Happened to costa and one of the twins with Chris Bosh in 1.0. I don't think that's ever happened again. He can easily dump someone on his team to someone else

IMO, since he isn’t OVER the hard cap yet, he’s got plenty of time to make a trade and create the space to field his 12-man roster by tomorrow. I don’t think you should be able to waive someone unless you actually go over the $82,000,000 cap.

Yea it's no big deal; he shouldn't have a problem dumping someone for two people, or to open enough cap for a rook.
