I agree with listening twice, but I don’t think a second listen is going to change my opinion this time lol I did think J Cole’s last album was whatever, but it grew on me. (not Dreamville) Im Coleworld til I die. KOD was album of the year, idc what anyone says. Only 2018 hip hop albums close to it imo was Mac Millers (RIP) Swimming. Migos "Culture II" and Travis Scott Astroworld had hits but had to many features to be considered AOTY. But, KOD was so fucking good. ROTD is fire too. Summer 2019 has been pretty good for hip hop. Im a big fan of Joey Badass/Flatbush Zombies/Beast Coast "Escape from New York" and Big Krit new project "K.R.I.T. IZ Here". Now Chance dropped. I just need a new Kendrick Album and im chillin. I’m all in on DaBaby, Lil Baby, and any other babies you can throw in. I like ROTD a lot. The only albums I haven’t heard there were “Escape from New York” & Big KRIT’s. Another J Cole Stan is Rip City... I love J Cole but nowhere near as much as that guy |
